Impact Level

Provided funding for 90 days of access to musical instrument.

Project managed by: Music for All

Country: United Kingdom

Project Description

It has been scientifically proven that music and music making has a positive impact on wellbeing, improves mental health, deepens social engagement, and strengthens communities. However, the joy and benefits of learning to play an instrument is often beyond the reaches of those disadvantaged financially, socially and/or geographically. Music For Life offers grants to disadvantaged children to fulfil their dream of playing an instrument, this can be a violin, a flute or a harp or any other instrument.

More About This Project

Socially or geographically disadvantaged parents such as single mothers might not always have the means to provide musical instruments for their children. However, music and music making can be a wonderful hobby and it’s positive effects on the children’s development are huge. Support Music for All to make the dream of many children of owning their own instrument come true and support to bridge this social gap.
